Yoga is so freeing - freeing for me in my mind, body, heart, and soul because it is my choice. It is what I make it.
There are lots of ways to practice Grounding on our yoga mat that can translate to our lived experience off the mat. Here are a few that I look forward to sharing with you this month…..

We are two days away from April and practicing social distancing or rather physical distancing. I am listening to how to keep myself, my family and everyone else safe by staying home. Finding a routine that works for me in this new "normal". I get my dose of the outdoors two times a day, I practice 5 minutes of meditation before I drink my morning coffee, I shut everything down at 8 PM. I focus on getting my 10K steps per day, eating nourishing meals, and find that "live" videos are actually quite fun as soon as you get over listening to your own voice!
It’s challenging to simply experience ourselves without the filters that influence our understanding of who we are. Practicing authenticity on my mat means being aware of what is and of what I wish would be (the shoulds, the ideals), and to remain accepting and non-judgemental to both.
Yoga has not only brought me so much joy as a human but it has helped define me.
